Unique turned wood funeral urn made in Canada. This piece is made of spalted cherry wood ( The shapes in the wood are created by the disintegration of the wood caused by wood-dwelling fungi and characterized by fine dark lines) . The opening is on the underside of the urn. A fracture located at the top of the urn lets light pass through it.
The artist nestled in the Bas St-Laurent region works with locally recovered wood species and driftwood. This material, like us, is marked by the same cycle of life and death. It also carries within it a story, a unique destiny. Each log is selected according to its particularities. Each creation, dug manually, is part of an artistic approach guided by family values and a deep respect for ecology. The artist highlights the beauty of the tree's fibers so that it resonates in you a small part of your loved one.
